❚ Kiko smiled as
she splashed through the puddles around her. The storm may have let up but at least it left behind plenty of water. She had just come from the lab with her starter pokemon. She was still a little surprised at the color of the Eevee. Kiko had never seen one such a bright, shiny color. "Hmm, what should I call her?" Kiko went through a list in her mind, crossing out anything that sounded too girly. Finally she thought up what she believed to be the perfect name for the troublsome light colored Eevee. "Hikaru, just right." After deciding the name she procceded to splash through more puddles.

Oh this rain so bothersome. It only made his poor head hurt even more. Though, his head always hurts. A never ending headache is bothersome to the point he finds anything and everything irritating. The yellow duck Pokemon waddles his way through the forest and hates how his feet is getting muddy and dirty. Now he has to find a river nearby to wash his feet. So annoying! In his little travels he came across a trainer in this rain with an odd color Eevee. "Duck da duck duuuck! Da da duck!" (Hey stop that right now! It's annoying) Great, now I have to beat them up (most likely) to get them to stop that, Psyduck thought to himself. Preparing for battle with his claws out to scratch the Eevee and it's trainer to death!  Level 5 Docile Attacks: Water sport, scratch, tail whip.  Preparing to scratch! |

She had been getting used to all the water her new trainer liked. The eevee couldn’t help but admit that splashing through the water and mud was pretty fun. The light colored pokemon eyed the duck pokemon as it came closer. When it prepared to attack them with a scratch attack she bared her fangs at it. Kiko first looked at the other pokemon in surprise before grinning. This would be her first battle and she was going to enjoy it. ”Alright Hikaru, tackle it!” Hikaru was only too happy to comply. Sadly, the Psyduck wasn't all that good at dodging. It tried, but was still hit on the side by the Tackle. "Duck! Quack quack!" It said in anger. Of course the Trainer couldn't understand what it said, and it was probably for the best, because it probably said something that wasn't very nice. Even so, when it recovered slightly from the attack, it raised it's claws back again and tried for another Scratch attack. It was determined to hit! It's head hurt and it didn't wanna lose! Her silvery fur bristled at his words. As she bared her fangs at him once more she wasn’t able to dodge his scratch attack. She hissed at the pain as she glared at him. ”You okay Hikaru?” The eevee twitched her tail in response, more focused on beating the Psyduck than anything else. ”Another tackle Hikaru!” Hikaru gladly charged at the duck pokemon. "Quaaaaack!" A hard hit! The Psyduck fell over when it was hit. It rolled around a little before it finally managed to get up. Even more angry, when it was back on it's two feet, it stomped it's flipper and charged at the strange fox Pokemon again. It tried to hit the Eevee again, and this one was full of rage and fury. It wanted to beat this thing up bad! Level 5 Docile Attacks: Water sport, scratch, tail whip.  |

She thought water pokemon did better in the rain. It looked like this little guy didn’t do well in the rain at all. Hikaru thought the same thing as she zigzagged across the rain soaked ground, digging her claws in the ground to keep herself from slipping. This time when the duck pokemon tried to scratch her she was able to dodge around him. When Hikaru ran behind Psyduck Kiko let out whoop. ”Way to go Hikaru! Show him who’s boss with another tackle!” The eevee raced at the duck pokemon once more. She would make sure the rain was her advantage, not his. "Psy..." He tried to shake it off, but that attack had, again, taken more out of him than planned. The yellow duck managed to wallow upwards, now covered in mud, and stand there for a moment, panting and exhausted. Yes, it had a little fight left in it- but not very much. Weakly he raised his claws and tried to Scratch again, but he was so weak he could hardly move a step or two. This would be a quick battle to finish now.... It looked like the storm was picking up once more. Though it wasn’t raining as hard as before it was once again soaking her through. She ginned as water poured off of her. Kiko always took rain and storms as a good sign, there was no way she was going to loose this battle. Hikaru once more dodged the duck pokemon’s attack. It was getting easier as the other pokemon got weaker. ”Just one more should do it. Tackle again!" The eevee was quick to follow her trainer’s order. "Du... duck" The blow had landed. Of course it had; how could it not? With force, the Psyduck was down for good, laying belly deep in a muddy puddle. Looks like it had messed with the wrong person, and it had been defeated. To weak to move, it resigned to laying there, occasionally wiggling around just enough to try, and fail, to get back up so it could at least run away. To tired to move, though, it could do nothing but look up at the Trainer with sad eyes and hope that she didn't hold grudges. It wasn't really a bad pokemon- it just had a temper. It looked like the Trainer was left with a few options. She could go ahead and knock it out, she could catch it, or just move on and leave it where it be. Level 5 Docile Attacks: Water sport, scratch, tail whip.  |

The Psyduck collapsed onto the ground, struggling to get back up. After a moment it just laid there in the mud. Hikaru was about to attack again when Kiko called out ”Hold off Hikaru, I want to try catching him.” The eevee slid to a stop just before running into the duck pokemon. She twitched her tail in annoyance but backed off. She still wanted to fight. Hikaru would just have to wait till the next wild pokemon came out. Kiko smiled as she pulled out a poke ball and tossed it at the tired Psyduck. As the poke ball pulled him in she waited to see if the ball kept him inside. It make a noise in shock as it felt the ball hit him in, of all the places, the tail end. Then was a weird sucking pressure and darkness. The Psyduck flailed around a little, but it was just to weak, and gave up after one pathetic attempt. One... two.... three.... He was captured. It seemed that Kiko was now the proud owner of a Psyduck. Level 5 Docile Attacks: Water sport, scratch, tail whip. |

Kiko let out a whoop of joy as the poke ball kept shaking. The Psyduck didn’t come back out so that meant she had just caught her first pokemon. She rushed forward, careful not to slip as she scooped up the poke ball. A bit of mud covered its round surface. Hikaru trotted up to her sided as she wiped off the mud before pocketing it. Kiko knelt down and rubbed between the eevee’s ears. ”Good job Hikaru.”
The silvery eevee leaned into her trainer’s touch, closing her eyes in happiness. After petting Hikaru for a moment Kiko stood up and look around. There was now a light rain falling. It felt so nice to feel the cool drops run down her. She continued on the way she had been going, Hikaru falling in step beside her. The eevee stayed beside her trainer for a few minutes before racing ahead to jump in more puddles. Kiko let out a laugh at her pokemon’s antics. ”Just don’t wander off too far, okay?”

In the bushes, a Pokemon has witnessed this entire battle. It had actually been stalking the Trainer for a while, but had taken a keep interest in the battle. If the Trainer happened to look, she might spot a pair of purple ears poking up over the bushes. They twitched from time to time, flicking off the rain. It watched the Eevee play in the puddles. That seemed... fun. Very wet, but fun. After the Trainer had passed by, the sleek Pokemon slipped out and hopped around in one of the puddle, soaking itself. The noise was loud and it would be hard for the Trainer or her Eevee not to hear it. The Pokemon didn't notice, though. It was happy it had found a fun thing. Kiko turned around when she heard the splashing behind her. She knew it couldn’t be Hikaru because the Eevee was currently turning to look as well. Both blinked in surprise at the Purrlion jumping around. It didn’t seem to know they had noticed it. Hikaru pawed at the ground and was about to charge it when Kiko grabbed the scruff of her neck. The eevee glared at her trainer before settling down. Looks like she would have to wait a bit longer for another battle. Kiko just rolled her eyes and walked toward the Purlion. Before she got too close to it she began splashing in a nearby puddle. ”Come on Hikaru, it’s more fun to play than to fight.”
The silver Eevee still wanted to fight, but playing in the puddles sounded like a good idea as well. Hikaru followed her trainer’s lead and began jumping from puddle to puddle, splashing up as much water as she could. ”Woohoo! Kiko was really enjoying getting to play in the puddles with the two pokemon.
