Ryu had been getting quite a few odd looks as he headed from the lab through Cross Village. For once it wasn’t because of his hair. This time it was because of was sitting atop it. Resting on his head was a tan colored Axew, the shiny starter pokemon he had just gotten. The moment he had let her out of her pokeball she had decided his head belonged to her. The little dragon seemed to really like his bright red hair so he decided to name her Akane.
The shiny axew was content to let her new trainer do all the walking as she looked around. The had finally come to a part of the village where no one was staring at them anymore. Akane had also been getting annoyed by their stares. The axew leaned forward to look down at Ryu. ”Hey, careful up there! Keep doing that and you’ll fall.” The axew pushed herself back and began to play with his red hair. Ryu let out a laugh as he felt her tug lightly at his hair. ”Don’t pull any of it out.”

A devilish little girl was walking the streets, looking for someone to battle with her new pokemon. Seeing a boy with red hair and a axew, she smirked and hid in an alley. She pulled out her Sandshrew and told him her plan. Getting ready, her and sandshrew pretended to fall out of the alley right in front of the boy, and they both started crying loud fake tears. Sniffing cutely, Ana the girl looked up at the boy with big green eyes as her tears ran down her face. "C...can you help me?"

To say he was surprised when the girl and the sandshrew fell out was an understatement. He was quick to help the little girl up, trying to see if she was hurt. He couldn’t see any arks on her, but he could be wrong ”What happened? What do you need help with?” While her new trainer fussed over the little girl Akane just stayed atop his head. She narrowed her eyes at the sandshrew. It didn’t seem hurt at all and if the girl had a pokemon with her then what could be wrong? Certainly the sandshrew should be able to handle anything that could happen.

"Over there!" She pointed into the alleyway. "A mean man! He took my money and said he'd hurt me and Sandy if we didn't do what he said!" She sniffled and sob her crocodile tears, hoping it would make him go into the dead-ended alley for her. "I was so scared! C-can you help me?" She looked up at him with big, watery eyes. Of course, there was malice hiding in those eyes. She had a plan, alright....

Akane was definity getting a bad feeling now. There was something off about this all, she just didn’t know what. At the young girl’s words Ryu immediately stood up and went to the entrance of the ally. He couldn’t see anyone yet so he took a step into the ally. ”Hey, come out! He glanced back at the little girl and her pokemon real quick. ”Don’t worry, I’ll take care of everything.” As Ryu walked further into the ally Akane turned around to keep an eye on the little girl and the sandshrew. She didn’t trust them one bit.

As soon as the boy when into the alley and was far enough away, the girl grinned and giggled softly to herself. She looked up to see the Pokemon on his head looking at her, but by that point it was too late. She stuck her tongue out at the dragon. The Sandshrew came from behind and attempted to Scratch, not the Axew, but her Trainer on the back of the leg. This was a vicious pair, it seemed, and they were after something... Good thing Akane had kept her eye on the two. As soon as her trainer had stepped further into the ally the sandshrew jumped forward to scratch at his legs. The young axew yanked hard on his hair, earning a yelp while also getting him to turn around. Thanks to the painful heads up he was able to get out of reach of the scratch attack. ”Hey! What’s the big idea?” Ryu scowled at the young girl and her pokemon. It wasn’t like he could fight her like was used to. It wouldn’t be right. Looks like a pokemon battle would have to settle all this. ”I’ll teach you not to trick others. Akane, time to kick some butt!” The axew quickly leapt down from atop his head. As she landed she leered at the sandshew, aiming to lower its defense before charging forward with her own scratch attack.  Lvl 5

The little girl giggled. "Give me all your stuff!" she yelled with glee. Something was defiantly off here. Either way, the Sandshrew had seen the Leer, and was a bit unnerved by it. Regardless, when the girl ordered a Scratch attack, it drew back and launched itself at the Axew, ready to use it's claw to strike. It was hit by the Axew's own Scratch when it did this, but still it kept on trying to attack. Sand Veil Male Level 5 Scratch; Defense Curl (Defense lowered!)  |

Ryu really wished this little girl wasn't a little girl. Then he could at least solve this with his own fists. He hoped Akane was strong enough to teach them a lesson. She would have to be since she was his only pokemon. "Like hell I will. You shouldn't even be taking peoples stuff!" Akane saw that her leer made the other pokemon weaker. She wanted to beat them quickly so she leered once more at the sandshew as she dodged its scratch attack. She then turned around to scratch him back. Lv 5

The little girl foresaw the scratch and prepares for the counter attack. Fufufu, she mumble under her breath. Thinking how clever she is in thinking in advance "Dodge that scratch attack and hit with your own scratch attack!" He would never think about getting hit with the same move after dodging it, the little girl thinks to herself. The Sandshrew duck down casually and bring out its claws out as it raises up to scratch the fox Axew. Then, in mid air the Sandshrew curle up into a ball to raise it defense in case of an counter attack. Sandshrew Uses: scratch, defense curl. |
