Valentia packed her things inside a small bag, she wouldn't need much since she is just going to do some quick research before arriving at her next stop where she will be deciding on which research she should take up on. Only a few days of clothing was all that was needed and a packed lunch, cheesecake and a few sandwiches. The next step was to get a Pokemon she could depend on throughout the journey, the Pokemon needs to be fairy intelligent and strong to be of standard and help in her research.
The local professor offered many types of Pokemon to people, maybe even she can get one? The young scientist did not doubt it, they were both scientists so she saw no problem why she couldn't ask them for that favor. She finally finished putting in her bag all those items she needed then she turned the lights off. Her house in going to be lonely for a while but what can she do, after all she will have fun researching all those lovely Pokemon.
The young scientist walked past many houses and people to get to the local lab. Some people she walked past talked about the nice professors giving out Pokemon to new trainers, she was quite happy to hear that. Young people develop though journeys and the professors are helping them accomplish that. When she meets them, she had to thank them for doing a wonderful job.
Finally, the lab was just in front of her. It was a typical research center capable of housing many Pokemon and research materials, she knocked on the door tree times before entering. "Good day everyone." she said energetically to the whole room before stopping to see what a specimen she is seeing. Oh yes, it was a shiny black Mudkip, a very rare chance indeed, it was her first time seeing any shiny Pokemon.

Lately, the lab has been very busy left and right. People have been coming in and for Pokemon. Professor Iouna lately given very little time to do research. Just recently her door was even broken from someone. Professor had a feeling why the sudden interest of starting journeys. Lately, thanks to how they are breeding and raising Pokemon. They come out in different colors. This is the most likely reason for the sudden interest in Pokemon. The Professor wonders if she should prepare just in case if someone tries to steal the Pokemon for their own goals.
Iouna was sitting at her desk taking notes on Mudkip who was very eager to help Iouna in her research. From his diet, parents, and it's physical abilities. Of course, his personality she takes into account as well. Someone had walked politely and seem eager. Her eyes went straight on Mudkip that she was collecting data. "Hello there I am Professor Iouna. How can I help you, ms?" Iouna already had a funny feeling that this was a new upstart trainer. Thankfully, there are some other Mudkips to collect data and she is already done with this one anyway.

The black Mudkip was sitting at a desk in front of a lady, only just now Valentia has noticed her. She looked very professor-like unlike her, she was taking some notes about this very unique Mudkip. The black Mudkip waved it's blue tail fin at the young researcher who could not be more amazed. She quickly looked inside her bag and took out a pen and a notebook, this was a chance to describe the Pokemon. "Hello there I am Professor Iouna. How can I help you, ms?" the professor introduced herself.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I am professor Valentia Dolore." she said looking the other professor in the eyes as it was not polite not to do so between colleagues and extended her hand for a handshake. "What a sight. A black Mudkip." she looked at the Pokemon once again. "I was wondering, I am going on a journey to decide what to focus my research on, and was thinking I would come here to start off." she stopped to think what to say more "I really do not have a Pokemon so would you please let me have this Mudkip? I will take care of it really well."

"Yes, you can have the Mudkip, Professor Iouna said." She went to retrieve the pokemon and set it on the table. "Since this is your first pokemon, I will give you a starter kit for you to get started with your pokemon." She reached down to get the starter kit and placed it on the table next to the Mudkip. "Here you are Valentia, I hope that you and your Mudkip and fun adventures together.  Mudkip lvl 5 Brave Male Torrent Attacks: Tackle, growl. Pokeball x 10  Revive x 1  Potion x 5  Cellphone x 1  |

She got a yes to take the Mudkip, how lucky. "Thank you Professor." she then looked at the black Pokemon "So what do you say? Shall we have some fun?" she laughed. The professor gave her all the items she would need to begin a journey. She would first try to let the water Pokemon outside it's Pokeball since she once heard some do not like it. This will be another textbook example she could confirm with her own experience. "Hmm, where to now." she walked to the door with the Mudkip following her "Oh, thanks again professor. I'll keep in touch." and there she waltzed out.
