Due to this, he was often bullied about his love for things and his deafness, so, at times; he may appear to be self-conscious about himself or whatever he does. He also has some issues with trusting people, especially hearing people. Since he tends to be aloof at times, he is usually left alone and he hated it when that happened. It always reminded him of his deafness. He tends to pin grudges on people, but does his best in preventing that from happening. Unfortunately, it still happens and he is usually unaware about it until he realizes he has a certain degree of hatred towards that person. Aside from the apparent rage and hatred, he does his best in hiding those negative emotions. He hopes that he may make some good friends and eventually find his niche somewhere on Kuro. [/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]ABOUT PAST EVENTS[/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8] When Shane was born, no one expected him to be deaf. It was not one of his parents’ concerns when it came to raising their child. Unfortunately, the doctor suspected that possibility when the babe didn’t react to his parents’ voices. He revealed this to the parents and they reacted horribly to that idea. They did not want to spend so much time on trying to learn something that was useless in their eyes. The doctor realized the baby would be in a difficult situation with his parents. He couldn’t do much and he lamented over that fact. However, he had to get over that fact and keep on working, and that was what he did. As for the parents, they took good care for Shane, but always got frustrated when he couldn’t hear them when he should have heard them. To them, he was embarrassing them in public each time they ordered him to come back to them. Life for Shane was difficult. The young child couldn’t understand why he couldn’t hear anything. He had attempted to ask his parents, but was buffeted away with stiff motions. He was frustrated as well over his deafness and had to deal with silence. He was scared of not hearing anything at first, but he soon got used to it. After all, he was deaf. When he reached the age of going to school, he went and, on his first day, had so much issues that his teacher discovered. First off, he was deaf and had no interpreter with him. Secondly, he did not know Sign Language and only communicated via paper and pencil, which was fine and all. However, it didn’t work all the time. Once the other kids found out about his deafness, some acted as if he wasn’t there, some ignored him, and some bullied him. He was so confused and his bullying wasn’t helping anything. Regardless of that fact, he tried to hide it from his parents and… It worked. Sadly enough, he had a feeling that his parents didn’t care about him as much as they did in the past. This put him in a depression rut and it lasted for years. Many of his teachers noticed this and had attempted to tell his parents, only to be pushed away by their insults. Shane hated this. He wished he had a better family, one that would be kind and caring about him. Something clicked inside of his head. Kind and caring! He could be the opposite of his parents! With this notion set in his mind, he did what he could to become kind and caring. It took him several years to know how to do that, but after that, it was smooth for him, despite the fact that he was still being bullied. He kept being bullied all the way up to high school. In order to combat against the depression he has, he would watch animes or read mangas that had underdogs that became a hero later on. He started to develop a love for ninjas and started to dress like them. As for his skills, he worked hard on them and was somewhat good at martial arts, along with using weapons and such. He wasn’t very good at it, but he was willing to work through everything. One day, he saw trainers running around beyond his school gates, he found himself wanting to be free like them. He remembered that his parents didn’t want him to do anything dangerous, just because he was deaf. Well, after tonight, they wouldn’t have to worry about him. Once his school finished for the day, he asked to be dropped out. Soon after he got home, he got into an argument with his parents and simply packed in front of them to show that he was serious. All he packed was a change of clothes, dry food, manuals, and other things like that in a backpack. With that done, he left the house, unable to hear their cries of protests, and ran away to the docks. He didn’t care where he went; he just wanted to get away from home. Kuro was there on the list and he paid for the ticket over there and hopped on the boat when it was time. Good riddance.[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]SECRETS [/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8] Shane thinks his deafness is a secret, but that often proves itself wrong. However, he does keep the fact that he likes anime and manga as a secret since he learned that everyone doesn't like people broadcasting about that. Other than that, he doesn't know if he has any other secrets, other than the anime thing and the fact that he ran away from his home region.[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]LIKES & DISLIKES[/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8]Likes: silence, nice people in general, ninjas, anime/manga, and some cool-looking Pokemon.
