She’s always enjoyed Pokémon battling, even from such a young age where all she could do was watch it on TV. She stills enjoys it to this day, and is much more knowledgeable on the subject thanks to years of study. She loves to give and accept challenges, ready to take on just about anyone (as long as it’s reasonable that she can win). Battle-wise, her personality best fits two strategies: high-speed activity, and sheer destructive might. Thus, for these reasons (among others), she has chosen to specialize in Electric and Steel-type Pokémon. She enjoys the raw energy of electricity and how it’s capable of outclassing others in speed, but is also capable of entering the mindset of the tank and enjoys being able to completely ignore attacks and throw out massive damage in response. More generally, Sila has interests in both the tomboyish and the girly. She isn’t a slave to fashion, nor will she spend hours in the bathroom just to get her makeup perfect, but she does enjoy making herself feel pretty, usually done by picking up some nice clothes in the morning and touching up just a tad. At the same time, though, she’s capable of surviving a day with the boys, perfectly capable of ignoring all their burping and innuendo (though she’d attempt to get them to tone it down just a tad). As far as her energy level, it can fluctuate; if she’s excited, it can go through the roof, but when she’s relaxed, it can sometimes plummet like a stone. It all depends, to be quite honest. All-in-all, she’s just a happy girl. A side note, she enjoys contests AND battling. While she has more interest in Gym Badges, she still goes for ribbons if she feels like it. She wouldn’t mind entering a Grand Festival, either! There, she worked from a young age at a Seal store her parents owned. Sila herself found the concept of contests interesting, and loved to see all of the passionate Coordinators that came in and out of the store. As a youngling, she developed a strong love for contests, but things changed one day when she was 10 when she discovered Pokémon battling one day by channel surfing while eating a dinner (of course, sitting way too close to the TV like most children do). What she was staring at was intense, awe-inspiring, and just simply powerful. It was a battle between a Gengar and a Jigglypuff, and Sila was hypnotized by the movements, the sheer amount of power. It was just amazing, and from that day, she loved Pokémon battling. Still, though, things got better. A few months later, the entire city got to witness a historic event; a battle between two Gym Leaders: Volkner, for the home-lovers, going against Byron of Canalave City. Since it was a slow day at the store, Sila managed to duck out of the store and personally see the battle. No words could ever describe her amazement. She was utterly incapable of rooting for either side; the prowess of Volkner’s Electric-types and the power of Byron’s Steel-types equally attracted and dumbfounded her. Her appreciation for Electric-types was fueled even more, while her love of Steel was born. After the match ended (they agreed on a tie), she immediately ran home and expressed her desire to be a trainer, yet also expressed her interest in coordination as well. Her parents were joyous at the realization that their daughter was interested in both coordination AND battling, their shop was extremely popular and often very, very busy. Sadly, she couldn’t leave, not just yet. She was needed in the store. Still, she was okay with this . . . or rather, understanding . . . despite her dreams, she knew she had to stay, at least for now. In the meantime, she could study and learn until she COULD leave. Six years went by, and finally she was ready. She opted not to start in Twinleaf Town, for reasons she couldn’t really explain. Rather, she instead decided to go to a relatively new region, just to be somewhere most people haven’t yet. This itself is not a secret, but something stemming from this IS.
