Belle had left the lab with Teal only a few hours ago and she was already loving every minute she was with Teal. The little guy was so curious with everything, sometimes she had to make sure he wouldn't eat anything that would've presented a danger to him, "oh! Don't eat that Teal! That'll make you sick!" She reached taking what looked like a seed, but really was only a pebble.
"You gotta be careful when eating things" she said scolding him a bit, Teal made a sad noise from being scolded, Belle smiled at him before taking him into her arms hugging Teal, "sorry...I didn't mean to be mad at you.... I was just looking out for you...." Teal seem to understand as he started to whistle a cute little song to her, and Belle gave a little laugh listening to him.

A little sound startled this little Pokemon, it did not know what was going on but there were definitely some people around. The bug Pokemon crawled away from it up the tree but unfortunately stepped on something very slippery and fell down on its back doing a few rolls ending up at the females feet. Belle jumped when she noticed something landing near her feet, when she looked down she noticed it was only a caterpie, "oh, it's only a little caterpie, are you okay little one? Are you hurt?" She released Teal as he flew to her shoulder when she crouched down reaching gently to the scared pokemon. "I won't hurt you, I want to see if you're alright that's all... You poor little pokemon that must have been some fall."
Teal studied the pokemon staring at it, bird types and bugs types never got along, but Teal tried to maintain his best behavior in front of Belle. Teal could tell that Belle didn't have any attention of fighting the pokemon, then again Teal would have to wait on Belle's orders to see what they would do next anyways.

The little Caterpie was a lonesome thing. This was for a reason, though. It shied away from the girl and her Pokemon. Yes, it had indeed been hurt some from it's fall, and it would probably be sore and bruised up later, but still it did it's best to get away from her. It's pace was slow going, but it was to shy too be around the girl. It had very low confidence in itself and knew she wouldn't want it anyway. Belle moved her hand back as the little Caterpie moved away, "I don't want to harm you, I want to be your friend--I'm a Pokemon Ranger, it's my job to protect Pokemon" she said letting her hand rest in front of the hurt Caterpie. "I have some medicine that'll heal you back to good as new, please let me help you little Caterpie."
Belle tilted her head, "you're such a cutie too! I'd love to have you as a partner, but I rather not force any pokemon to become a partner of mine unless they really want to." She looked at Teal as he gaved an honest chirp that they would not, "I think it's great that pokemon and people are able to work together, but I don't want to force a pokemon into a pokeball unless they want to be my partner too."

"Piiiiiii!" The bug Pokemon lowered it's head and shook it a little, as if it was flushing and denying her compliment. She was nice, and if she was nice, he wanted to go with her! ... but he couldn't. He had stuff he needed to do. So he kept walking and made it to the tree he was at. Belle watched as the little pokemon shook it's head embarrassed it seemed, then it started climbing up a tree as she watched it closely. It looked like the little pokemon was asking for help in some way, Belle nodded understanding--she went over to the tree looking, "you fell from this tree right? Lets see what could've made a good climbing pokemon like you fall."
She started to climb a bit searching for whatever it was that made the little guy fall from the tree--she got her answer when she almost lost balance. Her hand had landed some something--slippery? That didn't sound good, whatever it was that left something that slippery wasn't really thinking on what it could do the other pokemon.
"Found the problem... now I just need to clean it off, that way you won't have the unfortune of slipping on it ever again" she said as she looked to see where she could sit on the branch. When she found her spot she lifted her leg over it and sat on it with her legs on the sides dangling, "alright lets get this cleaned up right Teal?"
"Swa! Swablu!" Teal chirped as he landed on the branch that was above Belle's head, Teal looked around to see where the cause of this trail had been, if anything it could pose a dangerous environment like it did with the little Caterpie.

So nice! He really wanted to go with this girl, now! That nasty goop had been causing him trouble for ages! But.... that wasn't what he needed help with. He slowly moved past that part of the tree, making sure to avoid the goopy arts so he wouldn't fall down again, and made his way up to a high branch just a little over the girl's head. He nuzzled some of the leaves to the side, revealing a very pretty yellow Pokemon Egg. He had found said egg all alone one day, and with lots of tenacity, had managed to String Shot it to the tree and was keeping it warm with leaves. He couldn't just leave it, and he didn't know where the mama was! Caterpie lvl 4 Lonely Male Shield Dust Attacks: Tackle, String Shot |

Belle looked up at the Caterpie seeing it go further up the tree, she found it confusing--was there more of this sticky slimy goop? Then she noticed it when Caterpie moved the leaves away from what it was covering, a pokemon egg held to the tree by Caterpie's string shot. "That's what you were trying to show me wasn't it? Oh dear that poor little egg left out here alone, whatever happened to it's owner or mother?"
She was wondering, but decided to leave it behind as she quickly got rid of the goop to the best of her ability before standing on the branch she sat on to help her reach up to the others. Before long she was near the top by the egg and Caterpie, "you did a very good job taking care of the egg, Caterpie--would you allow me to take it for you? That way you won't have to worry about it freezing... Teal here can sit on it to keep it warm until it hatches or when we're able to find the mother."
Teal looked at the egg as he chirped in the response of not having any problem with doing so, he didn't want to see this poor little egg get cold in this kind of water, and he would find it bad to just let it left alone here. "Swa Swa Swablu" he chirped as he looked at it trying to find the best spot to sit on the egg.

"Pri! Catcaterpie!" He was so happy! The egg would be taken care of, and he would get a nice Trainer to hang around with! It would be a happy time for all! And he was soooo excited to see what was in the egg! Maybe it would be something cool, and he could be it's 'Big Brother' of sorts. Said egg was pretty cold, and it felt hard to the touch. This one wouldn't hatching for a while..... CATERPIE CAN BE CAPTURED!
OBTAINED MYSTERY EGG 0 / 30 posts Meanwhile, something else had noticed the egg. Something that wasn't so nice. It wanted a nice snack, and no Ranger or Pokemon would try and stop it from getting what it wanted.... |

Belle looked at how Caterpie was, Belle was born from a breeder family, so she had some experience with taking care of an egg, "do not worry about the egg too much, I'll make sure it'll be nice and warm, and I won't let anyone hurt this little guy." She didn't understand why she had decided to make sure Caterpie understood no harm would come to the egg, but she meant every word of it.
She looked at Caterpie, "would you like to join us Caterpie?" she asked looking at Caterpie, she took out a pokeball to show that she meant it. "It's up to you, I'd love to have you join us, I might not be an actual trainer, but who says that a Ranger can't have other partners.... Besides I think I've grown attached to you, you're such a sweetie pie!"
Teal chirped in unison with Belle's request to the Caterpie as he decided to sit on the egg to keep it warm as possible. Teal's attention went nearby though when it started to hear moving somewhere a few feet away from where they were now. "Swa Swa!" Teal warned as it stared where the movement was coming from--waiting for whatever to try and attack.

A large flying Pokemon spotted a group with something round that looked like a yummy meal. It flew around in circles making strange noises possibly to call some more of its kind then it descended towards the human. It dodged her at the last moment and flew up again, it then used Leer to look at the girls eyes trying to scare her and if that did not work it would start attacking with Peck. That's when she heard it from above, she looked up to see a pokemon above her, it was metallic--she knows she has seen that pokemon before, but she wasn't sure as to where. Then she remembered from the academy, this pokemon was dangerous to those new to the field, and in honesty Belle wasn't sure if she could handle something like that.
She noticed how it flew down barely missing them as Belle yelped in surprise, she looked down seeing it come back up using leer, t...that pokemon..... She wanted to run, but then she heard Teal squawking, she looked at him instead remembering the egg, it's after the egg! It has to be! No I won't let it harm this innocent being that hasn't even hatched yet!
Even though she knew it could be a hazard, she moved to remove the egg as fast as she could from the sticky sting like substance, "Teal! Keep that thing distracted while I get the egg out of this stuff!" "Swa! Swa!" Teal squawked in agreement, he flapped his wings going into the air to fly downward to get Skarmory off course of Belle and the egg, not daring to look into it's leer. Belle was still working on the string when she looked at Teal, "use growl Teal!" Belle stated as she turned when she needed to get the string off, it was proving harder than it seemed. Teal nodded going down at Skarmory, as he opened his peak to screech out what sounded like a growl toward the Skarmory. What? This little blue thing thought it could beat him? It was crazy! There was no way that would happen! The Skarmory would admit, though.... that it was actually rather cute when it tried to Growl like that. It would be a shame to hurt such a cute thing! But it was obvious that if he wanted his meal, he would need to at least beat it up a little. He would hold back on his attacks some, though. Maybe he could even convince it to come with him? That would be nice. Either way, he opened his beak and let out a shower of golden stars, all of which were aimed at the cute blue Bird. He had used his Swift attack. Belle continued to tear at the string til she was almost there, she looked down to see Teal dodge, but still hit by a few of those stars, it uses swift?! Belle looked down at Teal worried as it seemed to almost freeze for a second, "Teal!" Teal shook as though it was never like that for in the first place before glaring at Skarmory, "that's it teal! Don't give up!"
Teal squawked looking at the pokemon below it, Belle's voice rang out to him, "use astonish!" Teal was gladly to oblige the order as it went down to use astonish on Skarmory. Belle went back to trying to tear the string again before one of the stars cut through, Belle saw the egg falling as she quickly scooped it into her arms, nestling it tightly as she was now hanging upside down.
Bad position to be in Belle, but not to worry I'm sure you'll be able to get yourself out of this.... At least I think I have a way out of this.... She looked at the Caterpie that she had become friends with, and had now decided to call him by the name of Canas, "Canas! Use string shot on the egg to help lower it down, once we have it down enough, I"ll be able to unhook myself and land on the ground!"
Canas loved his new name as he crawled onto Belle making sure not to tickle her one the way down, when he got to the egg--he used string shot as Belle let go of the egg, but made sure she was able to catch if the string were to break. Thankfully it didn't as Canas started to move the egg slowly down.
