Meeting Teal dear journal, I left the academy about 2 weeks ago, spent that time coming here to the lab located here in Kuro in order to get the partner I was to be given.... At least I hope they had remembered to send the thing at least..... It didn't help that some of the locals didn't understand me, but I couldn't really understand what they were saying either, but I was able to find my way to the lab with no problems.
I have to admit, the professor was down right scary, I thought she was going to tear my head off, even though she kept smiling the whole time I was there. I felt bad that I had ended up scattering the papers she was working on, but she didn't allow me to help--I find that both okay and a bit worrying.
I had to admit--I spend hours trying to figure which pokemon would be right to be my partner--they would have to be gentle--not too violent, but enough to where I know it could help me protect pokemon. OH! I amost forgot! They have to be pretty cute too, I mean sure it sounds a little bit selfish, but I find it easier for people and pokemon to understand that I want to help--doesn't help if my partner scares them bad.
I decided to go with Swablu--picking out the perfect name for it too, since their color is like teal.... I would name them Teal. It was a cute name for a cute pokemon like Swablu, and I had a feeling that I would get along with the little pokemon easier than any other pokemon.
Swablu definitely liked me, it was known when it started to squawk ecstatically at me, I must have been a hit for Swablu. Turns out Teal is really a boy, but it didn't seem to matter to him now that he has me as his partner, and somehow I don't seem to mind that Teal is a boy as long as we can work together--I'm just happy as of right now--I don't think anyone can mess it up either.
So now our adventure begins--I'm making sure to keep each and every encounter we have written down, nothing will seem out of place as long as I have this little journal with me, and I'll be able to cherish these fond memories I created with Teal and whoever else becomes part of our little team.

Saving the egg! dear journal, When I left the lab--I wasn't actually thinking I would run into my first pokemon.... I didn't even think that it would be a Caterpie either, poor little thing looked so frighten..... It didn't seem to want to fight, so I took a different approach to it, especially since it had gotten hurt on its fall down froma tree.
The little pokemon seemed to realize this when it started to go up the tree where it came from, it looked at me expecting me to follow--I decided it'd be for the best. I followed finding some slippery goop that almost ended with me falling off the tree. I thought this was what the Caterpie was trying to ask of me--to get rid of the goop. Didn't seem like it though as it kept climbing when I was cleaning the goop, and it started to move away some leaves above me--why I wasn't sure until I looked up after finishing cleaning the goop.
It was small and yellow, at closer inspection--my thoughts were correct--it was a pokemon egg! Why it was there? I really wasn't sure, but I had to get it out of the tree before Caterpie's string shot had worn off and the egg might've fell to the ground, and break. That was something the Caterpie didn't want--so I told him I would take it instead, and it became interesting at that as Caterpie decided to become my partner along for the right.
I was happy to have a new partner, I went as far as naming him Canas. Teal had taken his place at sitting on the egg to keep it warm as I started to figure out how to get it off the tree. That's when it appeared, I heard Teal cry out as I noticed something fly over ahead of us, then something coming in our direction missing us the first time--a Skarmory! It must've have wanted the egg to eat, but we weren't going to give him that chance, and Teal went out to battle Skarmory.
I don't know how it happened, but somewhere along the battle I ended up hanging upside down on the branch holding the egg tightly by string shot trying to send it down. Caterpie and me decided that was the best action as Teal continued lower the egg inch by inch, but then it turned to the worst as the string shot was breaking. I had to act quick or the egg would be a goner, I noticed how Skarmory had lost balance and ended up taking a nose dive into the earth below us--good job Teal!
However that was pride was short lived as the string broke and the egg started to go down--I did the only thing I did--I let go of the tree to catch the egg, I held onto Caterpie protectively as I caught the egg holding it near me as well..... I'll tell you one thing--I won't be doing that again anytime soon--my back is still sore from the landing! Though the best part of this encounter was that Skarmory had finally decided that there was no point in attacking anymore now that I had the egg safely in my arms.
Seemed like it didn't want it's butt handed to him by Teal either as he turned and flew away--leaving Teal, the Caterpie I've now named Canas, and the egg alone. I had Teal return to his pokeball as me and Canas traveled to the nearest pokemon center to get everyone checked out and better before continuing on with my job and adventure--I'll tell you one thing--it's definitely going to be a wild one!

The Hatching dear journal, I left the pokemon center and unfortunately ran into some pokemon, I didn't mean to scare one of them, but it seemed that I had angered its friends, and I was forced into a three-on-three pokemon battle--the end result--I lost. I didn't mind though, I even carried the hurt opponents into the pokemon center, it was my fault to begin with, so I had to do something about it, and thankfully they didn't seem to hate me afterwards as they went their own ways and I went my own--I felt at peace that they didn't hate me for my mistake.
I went into the forest after--I noticed that Missy wanted to go ahead, so I let her go ahead of me, but I wasn't expecting her to torment a trainer that was only a few paces away from me. It was funny though, how much he ran around in a circle trying to figure out what was on his head--at first.... I thought he was just a complete imbecile when it came to pokemon, but that wasn't the case, as much as he looks like an idiot--he was very good with his pokemon, and new some information on them and for a few minutes we had an enjoying three-on-three battle with our pokemon.
I decided to keep up with him for part way of our journey till we went to the next town, suddenly the egg that was in my bad started to shake violently, and I was amazed that it had hatched into a cute baby Sandshrew! She looked at me and stayed by my side like I was her mother, I decided to call her Sand for her sand-like coloring. That was then when a couple of Pikachu decided to come up to us trying to steal Sand away from me, but that was ended quickly by our teamwork with Shinzu.
It was after I caught the pikachu, which I named Thunder--that I regretted teaming up with the trainer to battle the pokemon, that was short-lived as we were attacked again by a Pinsir and a Doduo. They must have heard the commotion, so we decided to go into another pokemon battle. I realized half-way that I was doing what I did again before, but this time I wouldn't do it again. I asked Shinzu to stay back from my battle with Doduo as I returned Sand to his pokeball, and continued to use Teal instead.
It wasn't long till I caught Doduo, whom is now named Diana and placed her with the others. That was then that Shinzu decided he was going to go to the gym and left as I continued on my journey the same town. Possibly to do some kind of quest or two as I would soon reach the next town, and see what kind of trouble will be handed to me, but as long as I have my pokemon with me--I should be just fine.
