Her main flaw? She feeds off of pity. As a child she developed a rather unique way of processing thoughts; she had always been a depressed, alone, isolated little thing due to her constant illness, and every time she cried or threw tantrums because of it, she would be awarded with comfort from her mother. Someone actually paying attention to her, someone who wasn't afraid to touch her because of her illnesses. Soon, Noora found herself crying very frequently, and eventually she managed to trick herself into thinking she was depressed. The young teenager thinks she is clinically depressed, which she is; but the shaping and molding of its very foundations began with her making herself that way in order to gain pity and attention from others that she so desperately needed. Because of this, she has no experience in dealing with real, raw emotions and serious things; she expects that she can simply start the waterworks and all will be okay. Obviously Noora has a long ways to go before she understands how the world outside of the confinement of her own home works. Because of the fact she has no idea how to handle unfortunate events, she finds herself eating. A lot. This is why she is overweight, and continues to gain weight; she eats like a tank under stress. One thing that is good about this girl is her bleeding heart. Despite how much she tries to tune others out and pretend she doesn't care, deep down, she really does. She cares about everything. From the starving homeless children to someone crying because they failed a test, she truly does care for everyone and everything and tries to be a mother hen. The downfall to this is that she often finds herself taking on the responsibilities of others and making them her own. This has left her with a lot of stress and weight and she hopes that being in a new region where nobody has heard of her will help to turn this around. This brings us to another point; her identity. Noora constantly tries to be someone she isn't. She wants to be a well-respected and well known trainer with words of wisdom and beauty. She tries to be less selfish and tries to think against stereotypes, but soon finds herself trying to change herself in the process of changing her thoughts. Noora is a perfectionist and is extremely organized. If things are not organized, she will go absolutely batshit. As a child taking honors math classes she found herself asking for help on her homeowrk a lot; if a teacher would write on her paper she would grab a new sheet and copy everything down cleanly no matter how far along she already was. Everything in her notes and drawings has to be absolutely perfect; simple things like how many lines are between each note to how small or big or natural her handwriting looks. the eraser is her worst enemy; she will simply start over. Perhaps this is why she came to this region... to simply start over. On a positive note, this girl knows her manners and knows how to use them. This has won over the respect and love of many adults in the past and she hopes she can use it in her favor more often. She isn't a social person though; Noora prefers to wait to be invited into a conversation instead of jumping right it. She is perfectly content to be a lone wolf for a few days, but when the pang of lonliness sinks in, she will become extremely tearful for an hour or so and suddenly feel better. She's working on improving her social skills and her self-esteem, but so far isn't doing a very good job with it. Overall she is a very nice kid, but tends to wear her heart on her sleeve and relies on the pity of others too much for her own good.[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]ABOUT PAST EVENTS[/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8]Noora was born to a pair of parents who were very much in love with one another and their blossoming daughter. As a small child she was a very curious and glowing toddler; she learned to walk at eight months old and spoke her first words even earlier. Life was completely normal for this child, and she was content to be a child. When the illnesses came, however, her parents began to worry. Noora was always up to date on her vaccinations, but for some reason she would always be on her way to the doctor's office. Another sinus infection, another cold, another flu virus, another infection, just another sprinkle of every illness imaginable. Her entire body always ached, and Noora soon found herself becoming less social when children refused to play with her because she was 'covered in icky germies'. Her obviously concered parents had tried everything. They had been to the doctor's office more times than they could count in just a month alone and due to this, Noora found herself in trouble for truancy once the doctors refused to give her any more school notes. Noora soon found herself being homeschooled, where she was even more isolated than she had been in a public school setting. She had no friends other than her own family and the thought of how damn lonely she was drove her insane. She would throw crying fits for hours, and then tantrums soon after in anger. "Mom, why doesn't anybody like me?!" She'd scream, "What did I do wrong now?! I hate people!" And, soon, that statement became less of an overreaction and more of a truth. Her mother constantly comforted Noora and even bought her small gifts in attempts to cheer her daughter up, and Noora soon found herself in a neverending cycle of depressive tendencies. She would be rewarded for depressive behavior and soon her brain seemed to trick itself into thinking she truly was depressed. At the age of seven, Noora was first introduced to pokemon. She had known of their existence but had never truly interacted with the strange creatures until her mother brought home a Growlithe. The girl soon found herself bonding with the young pup as if they had been friends for years and actually found that the warmth of fire pokemon soothed her physical pain. It was at the age of nine that she decided she desperately wanted to be a pokemon trainer, but was obviously much too young and mentally unstable. So, what did she do? She ate. She ate a lot and very quickly put on a few extra pounds. At the age of ten she weighed quite a bit but was determined to set off with her Growlithe either way. After kissing her mother and father goodbye, she noticed something that she had never noticed before. She relied on the sympathy of others. Without her parents to constantly comfort her, or anyone for that matter, she soon found herself contemplating self-harm after only a few days and rushed home. Over the span of the next five years her psychological state worsened and she was eventually put on antidepressants and mood stabilizers, which surprisingly seemed to work. She began to make friends and interact with people despite her extremely weak immune system, and because of this, she began to become very ill once again. Noora didn't seem to mind, for the very thought of having friends was worth any amount of pain. After her eighteenth birthday passed, Noora finally decided to give pokemon training a shot again now that her life was back on track; she left her Growlithe behind this time to permanently symbolize her growth and abandoning of the past.[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]SECRETS [/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8]Her biggest secret is one that she is too stubborn to admit; her mental illnesses and upbringing make her overreact to the slightest bit of drama and she makes things much more dramtic than they truly are.[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]LIKES & DISLIKES[/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8]LIKES: Music, hoodies, fire pokemon, pokemon in general, the company of other humans, food DISLIKES: Silence, tight clothing, water pokemon, being alone, the summer, death, blood, needles[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 12px; margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; text-align: center; font-family: courier new]application was passed by username[/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=valign,top][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 40px;][STYLE=background-color: #f1e3b4; font-family: courier new; font-size: 30px; color: #404040; min-height: 150px; padding: 5px; text-align: center; moz-border-radius: 0px 10px 10px 0px; -o-border-radius: 0px 10px 10px 0px; border-radius: 0px 10px 10px 0px; -webkit-border-radius: 0px 10px 10px 0px;]N O O R A[/style] |
