A soft humming escaped the throat of the young lass as she skipped along the dirt path, occasionally stopping to do a twirl. She was on her beginning steps for her adventure! After six years of study and dreaming, she was finally on her way! She hugged herself, squealing softly, until she couldn’t help herself anymore and screamed up into the trees
“YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY~!”
BAM!
“OW!”
Just after she let out her excitement, something smacked her in the face. As she covered it in pain, she starting grumbled angrily and glared off to the object that fell. It was another Pokémon, one that looked like a gold cocoon. Sila blinked in confusion, and immediately pulled out her Pokédex.
“Kakuna, the Cocoon Pokémon. While awaiting evolution, it hides from predators under leaves and in nooks of branches.”
“Huh,” Sila said as she looked through Kakuna’s info, “Kakuna, eh? Interest-OW!” Another Kakuna fell from the branches above her, this one landed on the top of her head unlike the one before. Then several more Kakuna started falling from the branches, nearly surrounding her. Then, things got worse. They shone in a bright white light, forcing Sila to cover her eyes in pain. When the light faded, Sila found that the pack of Kakuna had turned into a swarm of Beedrill.
And they looked mad.
With the Beedrill swarming behind her, Sila immediately cut and run, kicking up an entire dust storm under her feet as she screamed at the top of her lungs towards Cross Village.
And somehow, this situation gave her a sense of déjà vu. How was beyond her, especially since she couldn’t afford the luxury of thinking about it.

As it would happen, a Beedrill swarm was a very serious thing. So serious, in fact, that most of the Pokemon in the area would be alerted to it, and most would evacuate so they wouldn't get hurt. Of course, some of the younger Pokemon didn't know about this, and the would stay where they were! This just so happened to be the case of one little Pichu. She was nibbling some Pecha Berries close to the road when she heard some buzzing. Looking up, she saw a huge group of Beedrill chasing some human girl! She couldn't let that happen! Running towards them, she let loose a few Thundershocks at them, bringing down a few of the weaker ones. After a few of them saw that their allies were being hurt, they decided that it was not worth it. Gathering up the fallen, they moved back to their nests. But that girl had better be clear- if they saw her again, they wouldn't be so nice. Pichu Level 7 Female Magnet (holding) Brave Lightningrod Thundershock; Growl

Sheer and utter panic was going through her head and absolutely NOTHING else. It wasn’t like she could help it! An entire swarm of vicious Bug-types were chasing her with the intent to seriously hurt her! She didn’t even have the chance (or desire) to try and count them all. All she was worried about was getting the HECK out of there.
But then, a stroke of luck! Sila didn’t catch the first strike, but she immediately noticed several Electric attacks flying past her. She looked back, seeing the attacks take down just a few of the weaker Pokémon, but that was enough to convince the swarm to pull back.
More pain shot through her face as Sila tripped on a root and planted her face in the dirt. Grumbling words that shouldn’t be said, she moved so that she was on her knees and rubbed her throbbing face. ‘They never told me my adventure would hurt this much! Ugh!’ Fighting tears, Sila looked around to find her rescuer, surprised at the fact that she was kneeling towards it already. She immediately recognized it as Pichu, the Tiny Mouse Pokémon.
“Oh, thank you, little one,” Sila said thankfully as she picked up the Pichu and kissed its head, “you saved me!” She set it back down and leaned back on her hands, releasing a huge sigh of relief as the adrenaline in her system started to die.

Tach. Not like it was a problem for her! This Pichu thought herself to be a brave and mighty hero, after all! She was just doing her job! And this human was even bowing to her! How about that! She nodded to herself and was about to turn and hop back into the bushes to finish her lunch. And then it happened. That girl picked her up. And kissed her. Kissed her. She was no toy and she didn't like being treated like one! When she was placed back down, she attempted to give the girl a good shock (which was also reminiscent of something?)! She wouldn't have this! She wanted a fight now! Pichu Level 7 Female Magnet (holding) Brave Lightningrod Thundershock; Growl

Sila’s body tensed as electricity was forced through her muscles, softly muttering “HNG!” as it coursed through her body. It was painful, both the electricity itself and her muscles freezing up from it. But still, on some level, she found it enjoyable. She immediately flashed back to a time when she was five. She was outside in the rain, watching the sky intently as the other kids in the day care ran inside, screaming and crying as thunder echoed like explosions. She did not fear it, but instead found it fascinating, beautiful, and almost . . . primal, though at the time she didn’t recognize these emotions.
Just before she remembered the streak of sheer power running across the sky, Pichu’s attack stopped. Sparks flew around Sila before quickly dying, and in an instant, she grinned, her calm, relieved demeanor giving way to excitement and fighting urges. It was ON now! There was no way that this Pichu would escape her now. Sila jumped up and reached into her pocket, taking out her Poké ball and declaring to the Pichu, “Oh, NOW you’re getting a battle, little one! Go, Elekid!”
She threw the orb, and in mid-air, it opened, letting out the Electric Pokémon in a flash of white light, which immediately spun its arms as its form of stretching. Sila wasted no time with the command, “Use Quick Attack, Elekid!”

Aha! So she got the message! Good! She wanted a good challenge after that warm up with the Beedrill! She took the hit like a MAN, and it only hurt her a little (lot). She squealed and sparked some, then shot some lightning at the Elekid in the form of a Thundershock. Pichu Level 7 Female Magnet (holding) Brave Lightningrod Thundershock; Growl

The first ever attack Sila ever commanded hit! Surely for a more experienced trainer this meant nothing, but for the beginner, or at least for her, it was a milestone. No words expressed her joy, but she didn’t have a lot of time to celebrate. Very soon after it got hit, the Pichu stood up, charging for another Thundershock. “Quick, Elekid,” she yelled, pointing towards the Pichu, “Block it!” In the short time that it took Pichu to charge its attack, Elekid managed to do the same, mirroring Pichu’s attack almost perfectly, making both streams of weak lightning meet in mid-air and stop. Quickly shifting her weight and pointing with her other hand, she yelled out “Now, Quick Attack again!” “Bi!” answered Elekid, as white light followed it as it flew towards Pichu. Elekid Level 5

Seeing her attack blocked frustrated the Pichu. When the Elekid attacked again, she tried to shoot off more bolts of lighting, but they always missed since she was aiming at where the Elekid was instead of where it would be. Needless to say, she was hit again. When she pulled herself back together, she put all of her energy into it and tried for another Thundershock. With a corresponding zapping sound, Pichu’s attack flew through the air and hit Elekid square in the chest. It wasn’t powerful enough to send it flying, but it did manage to make it fall back. Sila almost rushed to Elekid in worry, but she quickly reminded herself that it was fine, for a multitude of reasons. “Elekid, use Leer,” she ordered. As Elekid stood up, it glared evilly at the Pichu, its entire face twisting to a dark visage just to intimidate the little one. Sila’s face grew determined as well, yelling out another order, “Quick Attack again, Elekid!” forcing the Pokémon to attack once more. Elekid Level 5 MID-GREEN

"Pi-chaaaay Pichu!" The little pokemon yelped in surprise and gave a slight shiver at the look. It looked so mean! Could she really beat something so mean? Before she could decide if she could or not, the attack struck her, hitting her like a ton of bricks. She was knocked back and landed on her side. Struggling to get up, she yelled a war cry and lunged with the last of her strength, trying to shock the Elekid again with a Thundershock attack. That last hit shocked Sila, just because the amount of damage it did was very visible. Leer and Quick Attack . . . she made a note to remember that combo. Surely, she already knew what it could do, but it wasn’t like she experienced it! That Pichu was pretty good, but Elekid did so much damage in one hit it was almost unbelievable! Still, the little one wouldn’t give up. It struggled, barely able to stand up. With all of its might, it threw one more Thundershock at Elekid. Sila reacted quickly, yelling, “Dodge it, Elekid, and give it one more Quick Attack! Finish it!” “Bi!” Elekid replied, launching itself one more time at the Tiny Mouse Pokémon. Poor Pichu! As much as she wanted to win, she just didn't have the strength in her little body to go on. After taking that last hit, she wobbled around for a moment, her vision slowly dimming, then finally toppled over and passed out. She had Fainted. It should be known that her efforts were valiant, even if she fell in defeat in this battle. Pichu Fainted! Elekid Gained 1 Level! Sila watched intently as Elekid’s last hit smashed into Pichu, sending it skidding backwards. It wobbled a little, stumbling side-to-side, then fell down, its eyes showing that Fainted status she’s seen so many times already. ‘I . . . I did it! I won my first battle! It was against a wild Pokémon, but still! YES!’ Sila mentally sheered for herself while she spazzed, jumping up and down and squeeing. She was indeed celebrating, while Elekid just closed its eyes and said a mere “Bi.” But, Sila soon stopped, suddenly remembering the next step. ‘ Oh, yeah, I get to catch it!’ Sila reached into her bag and rummaged around, hyperness getting the better of her as she tried to almost rip a Poké Ball out of her pack. She was so overexcited that she accidentally made herself spin a full 360 degrees when she finally managed to pull the ball out of her pack. The Ball managed to slide out of her hand at just the right time, too, and as Sila fell on her butt (again), the Poké Ball smacked against Pichu’s forehead. Elekid Level 6.5 MID-GREEN

The Pichu wasn't aware of anything at the moment, especially not that it was getting captured. All it knew was that everything was black, and then it felt empty. She, in her state, couldn't fight away this emptiness. So she simply lay still. As it was, the ball didn't move, didn't shake, it had simply captured. Name: Injured Bisharp Difficulty: Easy Details: A local Trainer Pokemon, Bisharp is hurt and can't be move without making it worst. The trainer doesn't have any potions on him sadly. Give the trainer two HP Potion for his Bisharp so he can be move to the center. Reward: $500 For a moment, Sila was stunned silent. The Poké Ball didn’t shake or move like she’d seen before, but just . . . stopped. As soon as it hit the ground, the button in the middle blinked red, and the iconic tone sounded. Everything was silent as Sila stared at it in disbelief. It was her first catch . . . and . . . it worked? It . . . it worked! “IT WORKED! BY ARCEUS IT WORKED! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY~!” Sila clamored up and rushed towards the Poké Ball, sweeping it up and holding it into the air. “I CAUGHT MY VERY FIRST POKÉMON!” She twirled in excitement, so much so that she quickly got dizzy, but she was capable of easily ignoring it enough to pick up Elekid and give it a big smooch, thanking it, “Oh, thank you, my wonderful little Elekid~!” Elekid, being the quiet Pokémon that Sila was just beginning to notice, simply smiled and nodded towards her, and even let her hug him. Still, Elekid’s job was done, and with another thank you, Sila returned it to its Poké Ball. She was giddy with her victory (and quite honestly, deserved to be), and began happily skipping on her way again, completely forgetting about her ordeal with the Beedrill. Humming and smiling the biggest of smiles, she managed to make the rest of the walk to Cross Village seem like just a few seconds. She entered the gate, doing another ballerina twirl before standing and opening her eyes to the first town on her journey, one named ‘Cross Village’, as a sign she saw earlier said. “Oh, Bisharp, I wish I could help you . . . .” Sila curiously peered around a corner, and there she saw a young man sitting next to what she recognized as a Bisharp, who seemed to be very hurt. Concerned, Sila jogged over and asked sympathetically, “Oh, no, what happened?!”
